THE AIKEN FOUNDATION STUDENT ACCESS FUND
The University of South Carolina, College of Social Work (COSW)
ATLANTA, GEORGIA - The Aiken Foundation, an IRS tax-exempt 501(c)(3) Public Charity Nonprofit Organization, is pleased to announce the 2nd awarding educational institution of The Aiken Foundation Student Access Fund, which was created to provide financial assistance to minority students with demonstrated financial need pursuing post-secondary education. The scholarship fund in the amount of $1,000.00 for the Fall 2021 semester will be award to The University of South Carolina’s College of Social Work, located at Hamilton College, 1512 Pendleton Street, Columbia, South Carolina 29208.
The COSW, chartered in 1969, is accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of the Council on Social Work Education, granting Bachelor, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees in social work. The COSW is missioned “to promote social well-being and social justice with vulnerable populations.” Co-Founder, Antwan is an alumnus of the COSW, receiving a Master of Social Work degree in 2013.
The COSW will award two $500.00 scholarships to two minority status social work students. The COSW will be responsible for the selection process.
